Creating a Monologue as a character from Othello
Iago
What
exactly did Othello do that has upset you?
Othello promoted Cassio to lieutenant, which
I was supposed to be, everyone knows I would’ve fit that promotion a lot better
than that non-experienced geek Cassio, and I don’t know why I wasn’t chosen
over him, I know that I’m just too good and that Othello is just an arrogant
fool.
How
has Othello made you feel? (Jealous, angry, frustrated etc.)
Othello has ruined everything for me since
the moment he promoted Cassio, he left me with a burning rage inside of me and
I feel jealousy of what he possesses, I’m not insulting him I’m just describing
him.
What
is your reaction?
I am annoyed, angry and I’m running out of
places to hide the bodies.
What
are you going to do about it?
I will do everything possible to strip away
every inch of happiness out of Othello’s pathetic life, my anger against Othello
may not solve anything but it sure as hell will destroy everything he ever
touched, owned and loved. He will end up in a nice bag of nothing and no one by
his side his marriage will be ruined and so will his so-called lieutenant.

Othello - the musical?
Rolling in the deep by Adele is a song which I believe fits into the musical Othello. I think this as there is a verse in the song which states: "There's a fire starting in my heart.
Reaching a fever pitch, its bringing me out the dark."
This verse can be related to the scene where Othello is first informed about the rumor of Desdemona's unfaithfulness. It is then when he begins to feel furious and filled with anger as he thinks he has been cheated on.
The second song is by Ed Sheeran and it is called "Runaway". The verse goes as "I know what I wanna do, wanna run away, run away with you. Gonna grab clothes, six in the morning go." This is for when Desdemona makes her final choice of leaving her family behind to runaway with Othello. They elope to get married and live on their own.
The third song is "You give love a bad name" by Bon Jovi. This can be seen as when Desdemona and Othello tell her father they are in love, and Barbantio thinks that if they are in love then it is wrong, therefore their love for each other gives love a bad name. It can however also been known for the scene when Othello suspects that his wife is cheating on him, telling her that she is unfaithful and therefore giving love a bad name.
The fourth and final song is "Dont rain on my parade" by Barbara Streisand. This can be related to the scene when Cassio gets promoted ahead of Iago. Iago gets jealous of Cassio and is mad that he gets the promotion when he believes that it is in his right to be promoted, not Cassio. Iago therefore indirectly tells Cassio to back off and not to take the promotion and not to rain on his parade.

Othello in my own words
The story starts in venice Italy where we meet Iago and Roderigo, Iago took money from Roderigo as arrangement and is upset at "the moor" which is othello the hero in the army. Iago vows to get revenge, Rodrigo tells desdemonas father that his daughter is marrying othello, her dad confronts othello, othello and desdemona end up having permission to travel together from the duke. Iago makes Cassio make him drink and gets Roderigo to put him in a street fight. Iago gets revenge on Cassio, then makes othello believe his wife is unfaithful, Iago tell othello that desdemona is Cassios lover, othello promotes Iago and asks him to kill Cassio and desdemona. Othello believes the handkerchief is proof that desdemona and Cassio are lovers. He verbally abuses her in front of others, and are shocked at the noble man. Iago manipulated Roderigo into killing Cassio, but goes wrong and Cassio wounds Roderigo, Iago stabs him in the led. Others hear Cassio cry and thinks Iago killed him, he goes home ready to kill desdemona. Iago kills Roderigo and Emilia to Desdemona. Othello reaches desdemona first, kisses her then wakes her and acuses her again, she protests that's she loves him and he smothers her. Iago and others enter, Emilia defends desdemonas innocence, realized Iago is behind it. Othello finds out and tries to kill Iago. Iago kills Emily and leaves, then othello kills himself and Iago is seized and taken away.

I am director
Superglue:
Walk in from middle stage left stuck together towards center stage where the dialogue occurs when they are stuck together, then go from center stage right to left when trying to get unstuck and run out towards downstage right at the end.
They could have read the script better, with more expression and some props to show that they are in school.
Dress code violation:
Walk in from center stage left to center stage where the dialogue occurs and kalani walking around in circles all around the stage when he is arguing about the school, back to center stage and lights go out.
While they are talking they should try to look up rather than just looking down at the script, and give their voices and face some more expression.
Handwriting:
Alberto is in center stage while Pranav walks in from upstage left towards the center where the dialogue occurs and walk out center stage left.
They could have looked at the audience to connect with the audience and improve the expression in their voice.
Not the next cheerleader:
Kat is in center stage while prerna walks in from center stage right and dialogue occurs in center stage and when she is cheerleading she should go upstage center and back to center stage and walk out upstage right.
Kat could project her voice more and they should Move around the stage some more.
Drama class:
Ulan is center stage and Gabor comes from upstage right and the dialogue occurs from where each of them came in, when Gabor shows his how to act he should go toward center stage and ulan walks out center stage left and Gabor stays as the lights go off.
They should show more expression to their character and project their voices more effectively.
I.O.U:
Moody is upstage right and Omar walks in from upstage left and dialogue occurs in upstage right and Omar walk out upstage left.
They should try to look up more rather than just down at their script.
Vote for me:
Mariam walks in from center stage right and Marcia from center stage left and dialogue in center stage and walk up and down the stage as if they're walking through a hall and Marcia walks out center stage left.
They should project their voices more effectively and walk around the stage more.
Tardy:
Frederick walks in from center stage right while Gustav is in center stage and dialogue occurs center stage and Frederick walks out upstage right.
They should project their voices louder and more effectively and use more expression.

Narration
The definition of narration is the act of telling a story or describing what is happening in a part of a movie, show etc. to describe what's being seen.
In our play we used narration in the beginning of the play to show what is happening in the play and also in some parts of the play we would all stop talking while the narrator would describe what is happening.
The effect I waned the narration to have on the audience was to make them have an insight to what is happening in the story and why, so they understand what exactly is going on and the reason behind it.
How the narration worked in the performance and if it was successful or not will be posted once the performance is shown.
